October 15 — The city of Santa Fe hosted a groundbreaking Friday morning for its citywide solar energy initiative. Seven city facilities, eight water utility facilities, and two Buckman Direct Diversion buildings will receive photovoltaic arrays — a collection of solar panels — and other energy-efficiency improvements, including retrofitting or replacing lighting fixtures, recommissioning or upgrading plumbing fixtures, and replacing old transformers with high-efficiency models.
